To maintain ties to our community, where our clients and team members live, and to provide relief to those in need, we have begun a company-wide event called Grunder Gives Back. The Grunder Team decided that we would rather provide a helping hand during the holiday season than have a company holiday party. For 2016, we chose to help two important charitable organizations.
Among many programs Catholic Social Services provides, one is called Santa’s Shop. It is a store for people in need to gather free, unwrapped gifts for their loved ones. We have been collecting gifts here at Grunder and will be delivering them to Santa’s Shop (generously hosted by Becker Electric this year) on December 16th. “The assortment and quantity of gifts that the Grunder Team has donated has been truly impressive and a testament to the good people we have here”, said Amber Fox, Human Resources Manager at Grunder.
Also, around 30+ members of our team will be heading down to The FoodBank in Dayton to help sort and pack food packages for families in the Dayton area. The food is from food barrels around town that folks have been filling up over the last month or so. Team Grunder will share a pizza lunch in the FoodBank meeting room and then get to work preparing boxes of food for needy and hungry people in Montgomery, Greene and Preble counties.
“All of us at Grunder Landscaping are grateful to be able to give back to the community in which we live and work,” says Paul Stoll, Vice President of Operations. “It’s also a wonderful way to have fun with our fellow team members.”
